‘Art for Earth-Our Dugong Event’

Art for Earth is again holding an event to protest the proposed Traveston Crossing Dam. This year the event will be held at DaymanPark, Urangan, Hervey Bay on 6th June to celebrate ‘World Environment Day’. This years theme is ‘Our Dugong’ and Art for Earth aims for as many people as possible to come along and while holding a candle, create a giant  Dugong shape on the beach. The Dugong is to signify the downstream impacts on the Great Sandy Straits and the Great Sandy Marine Park if the Traveston Dam goes ahead.

WBBCC representatives will be present with an information display about the Legal Action we have launched against Burnett Water Pty Ltd regarding Paradise Dam and the major implications it has Traveston’s chances of approval. We will also be able to take Tax-deductible donations over $2 and issue you with a receipt on the day.

It should be a fantastic event and we’ll see you there!
